Barton Youth is a place for students in grades 7–12 from schools across our area who come together to grow in Christ. We gather on Sundays & Wednesdays to learn & be strengthened by God’s Word, our goal is to build real friendships through presence, and to grow in love for His Church through participating in the local church as teenagers. We are not striving to simply know facts about God, we want to apply what we are learning in order to navigate life with God. If you are growing as a follower of Christ or if you are seeking to know Who Jesus is, Barton Youth has a seat for you.
BREATHE. & LIVE. is more than a theme for Barton Youth, it is the rhythm we want to build into the fabric of our students and live out through student ministry. Each week we create space for students to BREATHE; to receive from Jesus through HIs word, prayer, and connection with others. We want this to be a practice beyond the youth room to everyday lives of teenagers their spaces where God has placed them. We don't stop at receiving, we &LIVE. What God gives is meant to flow through us to those around us. This is where we put faith into action; growing in Christ, serving others, encouraging on another, and pointing to Jesus.
To Save A Life | Wednesdays at 6:30pm
At some point, every teen is going to have to decide what their life is going to be about. This study encourages students to be the hands and feet of Jesus by reaching out to the lost, hurting, lonely, and left out in the spaces around them. Each week we will be out of the box, relevant, and centered around God's word. We will connect in small groups, grow through God's word, connection, and prayer. Breathing in what Jesus has for us and Living it out beyond the youth room.
See You At The Pole: Wednesday, September 23rd
Beginning in 1990 with ten students praying at their school, decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September each year at See You At The Pole. Simply put, it's a prayer rally where students meet at the flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. Additionally, it is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.
