Every November, we celebrate Thanksgiving—a time to remember all that we have to be thankful for. However, as Christians, gratitude goes much deeper than simply “counting our many blessings” as the song says. Because of what Christ accomplished for us on the cross, we receive His grace freely each day. This gives us reason to be thankful regardless of our earthly circumstances.
Albert Mohler said that how thankful we are is “the key to understanding what we really believe about God, what we really believe about ourselves, and what we really believe about the world.”
So, this Thanksgiving season, let’s count our many physical blessings, as we always do, but let’s also be overwhelmed by the abundant spiritual blessings we have received through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross!

Locally Grown: Host a Rooted Gathering!
As part of our Locally Grown theme, we're creating opportunities for women of all ages and stages of life to come together, build meaningful friendships, and grow in Christ. These gatherings are a chance to bridge generations, get to know ladies you may not have met, and strengthen the bonds of our church family. Interested in hosting a Rooted Gathering?
Backpack Blessings: Help Feed Local Students!
Our Backpack Blessings ministry serves students in Cherokee Schools by helping provide food for children who may otherwise go without enough to eat over the weekend. This is a practical way to show Christ's love and care for children and families in our community. We're looking for volunteers to help with shopping, packing food bags, and delivering them to Cherokee.
Thanksgiving Food Boxes
This Thanksgiving, we're collecting food to fill Thanksgiving boxes for local families in need. As we reflect on God's goodness and provision, let's share those blessings with others ! Please have all donations in the Family Life Center foyer by November 18th.
Cherokee High School FCA Toiletry Drive
Collecting toiletry items through November and December to support students at Cherokee and help meet some of their everyday needs. Join us in making a meaningful difference for students and their families. Every contribution helps us care for our community, one student at a time!

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:16-17
